ABOUT CENTER FOR HOUSING RESOURCES, INC.

Center for Housing Resources, Inc., www.chrdallas.org  was founded in 1985 by philanthropist Curtis Meadows and the Meadows Foundation.  CHR works to improve the quantity and quality of affordable housing in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.  CHR develops affordable housing, provides technical assistance to other developers, and home repairs.

The CHR Home Repair and Weatherization program has repaired almost 6,000 homes of low-income elderly and/or disabled people since 1990.  Our Emergency Home Repair program, funded largely by a one-time grant from the Meadows Foundation, has provided free emergency repairs to qualified homeowners since December 2001.
